Korean-born baritone Insik Choi has established himself as one of the most commanding voices on the European opera stage. Since 2017, he has served as a Fest Solist at Oper Köln — one of Germany's foremost opera institutions — building a career of extraordinary artistic range across Italian, German, and French repertoire.

His international profile was cemented by prizes at the Opera de Tenerife (2018), the Vinas International Singing Competition in Barcelona (2019), and the Vincero International Singing Competition, where he claimed both First Prize and the Audience Prize in December 2023. Whether inhabiting the existential weight of Wotan, the menace of Scarpia, or the lyric elegance of Marcello, Choi brings a rare synthesis of vocal authority and dramatic intelligence.
